Raindrop Art Workshop

The studio is on the second floor of Rachel’s home art studio and involves stairs and is not ADA accessible. Neighborhood street parking and close to bus lines.

Class size: limited to 4 participants

Time: 1 PM - 4 PM

Cost: $160

Ages: 12 years and older

Turn our PNW rain into something beautiful for your wall! Artists will create their choice of an 8x8 or an 8x10 raindrop mixed media painting using colored pencils and acrylic paint on a wood panel. White and black acrylic paint will be provided for your choice of the background. Aprons, shared colored pencils, brushes, and wood panels will be provided. If you prefer any of your personal supplies feel free to bring.

This class is geared for artists of all levels of art experience. No prior experience necessary.

All materials will be provided with the goal of taking home a finished or almost finished painting within the class time. If not finished within class time, materials will be provided to finish at home.

Cancellation Policy:

3 Weeks or more : 100% refunded minus $10 processing fee

Under 3 Weeks : No refund. Credit for class amount can be used for items (cards, prints, artwork) on the Rachel Austin’s Art website or for another workshop within one year of original class. Classes with fewer than 2 artists may be rescheduled or canceled with a refund.

Materials Provided by Instructor for use during class:

cradled wood panel with choice of 8”x8” or 8”x10”

variety of colored pencils

acrylic paint in white and black

brushes

painting aprons

tea + cookies

Optional materials for students to bring:

Colored Pencils - softer pencils like Prismacolors work well

Acrylic paint for background if you would like a color other than white or black

sketch book

personal apron
